Updates to Google Ads and How They Benefit Your Business

Google is constantly updating their Ads service to stay competitive and to bring businesses the most value.

Their message through all of these changes is clear; they want to make it simple to build, maintain, and be successful in running ads. Google’s goal is to give businesses the best ads experience for their money.

Here is a breakdown of the most useful updates to Google Ads recently:

Export Google Ads Data to Google Sheets

Do you find yourself needing to download your Google Ads data for analysis? Now, Google Ads has made it simple to download your data directly to Google Sheets to share and collaborate.

Keyword Planner Updates

The new Keyword Planner was launched in 2018 and has made creating your ads so much easier with data-supported keywords. The most recent updates include:

  • Download trend data for individual keywords
  • Use up to 10 seed terms at a time (the baseline keywords most relevant to your business)
  • Get more granular competition ranking across keyword ideas
  • Get daily budget suggestions in the plan overview
  • Find the in-account status for uploaded keywords
  • View forecasts for all languages

In this new version, it is also easier to navigate, add keywords to your plan, and report on findings before implementation.

Video Ads Have a New CTA Extension

Previously, on video ads, the viewer would have to wait until the end of the video to see the call-to-action. With this new update, viewers will see a CTA banner at the bottom of the video for the duration of the ad, improving user experience and advertising potential.
