Our Story

How we got here.

In 2016, our founding team sat across from a prospective client who had spent $2.3M with their previous agency. Impressions were up. Clicks were up. Engagement was up. Revenue was flat. The gap between activity and impact had become a canyon. Most agencies weren’t incentivized to close it.

We built Grey Matter on one bet: if you understand how B2B buyers make decisions, you can build marketing that works. The fear. The consensus-building. The competing priorities. The budget politics. We spent our first year studying neuroscience, behavioral economics, and sales psychology. Not to be academic. To build better strategy.

Then we made AI native to everything we do. Not to replace strategy. To remove the bottlenecks around it. Pattern recognition at scale. Market data synthesis in hours, not weeks.
