How we got here.
In 2016, our founding team sat across from a prospective client who had spent $2.3M with their previous agency. Impressions were up. Clicks were up. Engagement was up. Revenue was flat. The gap between activity and impact had become a canyon. Most agencies weren’t incentivized to close it.
We built Grey Matter on one bet: if you understand how B2B buyers make decisions, you can build marketing that works. The fear. The consensus-building. The competing priorities. The budget politics. We spent our first year studying neuroscience, behavioral economics, and sales psychology. Not to be academic. To build better strategy.
